character design
Max Kostenko as character designer participated in the early visual development of Disney’s live-action reimagining of "Pinocchio"(2022). directed by Robert Zemeckis, Max was tasked with creating the foundational sketches and character concepts for this iconic story.
During the crucial initial stages of the project, Max Kostenko explored the visual language of the film's beloved characters. The challenge was to reimagine classic designs for a modern live-action environment while maintaining the charm and whimsical essence of the original masterpiece. Max’s work involved creating expressive silhouettes and detailed textures that served as an early blueprint for the film’s production design.
stromboli
He is a puppeteer and showman with an ambition to make good money even if it's at the expense of others. Carrying himself with a jovial veneer, Stromboli has a dangerously short temper, and is famously prone to cursing when agitated.
Picture for yourselves a little man, broader than he is tall, tender and greasy like a ball of butter, with a rosy face, a small, constantly laughing mouth and a thin, adorable voice of a cat wishing all the best to its master.
Coachman
