“The fate of one will change the future of all”
Creature design
and concept art
Working on the Wizarding World universe was an incredible opportunity to dive deep into creature design. For this project, I collaborated with the production team to explore and develop the visual appearances of various magical beings.
The process involved extensive research and numerous iterations to ensure each creature felt grounded in reality while possessing a sense of magic and wonder. From anatomical studies to final concept renderings, the goal was to bring J.K. Rowling’s imagination to life for the big screen.
A kelpie is a shape-changing aquatic spirit of Scottish legend. Its name may derive from the Scottish Gaelic words 'cailpeach' or 'colpach', meaning heifer or colt. Kelpies are said to haunt rivers and streams, usually in the shape of a horse.

Also known as the Golden Snidget, this small, spherical bird can fly with amazing agility, changing speed and direction almost instantaneously. Its golden feathers and red, jewel-like eyes are so prized that at one time the Snidget was hunted almost to extinction.

The supposed serpent-headed creature had a body covered in long green fur with poison-tipped spines protruding. It caused flood (or shot out fire from its mouth) that destroyed crops, devoured livestock and humans, and struck humans and animals dead with its tail.
